Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification Candidates must possess a minimum SSC/10th Standard or equivalent pass with Science subjects (minimum **55% marks) coupled with:

• An ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the respective trade.
• OR 2 years of full-time apprentice training experience.
• OR 3 years of continuous governmental/PSU work experience in the relevant discipline.

2. Age Limit (As of August 3, 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years (Standard upper age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 15 years for PwBD categories).

Salary and Perks

Appointed technicians enjoy a lucrative pay structure under the 7th CPC guidelines:

• Pay Level: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200)

Selection Architecture

The selection structure comprises two distinct evaluation hurdles:

1. Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates will sit for a practical trade test evaluating baseline domain skills. This phase is qualifying in nature.
2. Competitive Written Examination: Those clearing the trade test will face an objective, multiple-choice written exam (OMR or CBT mode). Final merit is derived entirely from the marks secured in the written examination.
