The District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Cooch Behar, under the Government of West Bengal, invites online applications for the purely temporary post of Phlebotomist. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 50 years of age as on January 01, 2026. No age relaxation details are provided in the notice.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Passed Madhyamik or an equivalent examination.
2. Successfully completed a Phlebotomy Technician training course from an organization affiliated to/recognized by/run by Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development (PBSSD) or NSDC-India or National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). OR Possess at least one year of working experience as a Phlebotomist in a Government Health Care Facility/Laboratory or a CE licensed Private Health Care Facility/Diagnostic Centre/Laboratory.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 5,500/-.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online through the official website www.wbhealth.gov.in under the E-Governance "Online Recruitment" section. After successful online submission, candidates are required to take a printout of their filled application. This printout, along with self-attested copies of testimonials, must be submitted at the office of the CHOH & Secretary, Dist. Health & Family Welfare Samity, Cooch Behar, Lalbag, Debibari Road, Cooch Behar, by August 07, 2026. The envelope should be superscribed with "Application for the post of Phlebotomist".

Documents Required for Verification (Self-Attested Copies):

• Online generated registration number.
• Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
• All Mark Sheets and relevant documents (as per post criteria).
• Photo copy of Voter card/Aadhar card/other address proof.
• Clear photocopy of experience certificates or Phlebotomy Technician training course certificate.

Failure to submit requisite documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a scoring system:

• 90 marks: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
• 10 marks: For successfully completing a Phlebotomy Technician training course OR possessing at least one year of working experience as a Phlebotomist.

The final selection will be conducted by the District Level Selection Committee, Cooch Behar. The District Health & Family Welfare Samiti reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
