Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for various Non-Teaching positions. A total of 11 vacancies are available across different roles.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The eligibility criteria, including age, will be determined as of the last date for submission of online applications (August 10, 2026).

• Chief Medical Officer: Maximum 55 years.
• Project Engineer & Estate Officer/Executive Engineer: Maximum 45 years.
• Medical Officer: Maximum 40 years.
• Technical Officer: Maximum 40 years.
• Junior Superintendent: Maximum 35 years.
• Junior Library Information Assistant: Maximum 30 years.

Age Relaxation:

• 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
• 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.
• Relaxation as per rules for PwD and Ex-servicemen.
• Regular employees of IITs who are educationally qualified may be considered up to a maximum of 50 years.

Educational Qualifications:

• Chief Medical Officer: MBBS with compulsory rotating internship OR Post-graduate diploma in Medicine OR MD/MS in Medicine. Minimum 5 years' experience in Pay Level-12.
• Project Engineer & Estate Officer/Executive Engineer: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Essential experience required.
• Medical Officer: MBBS with compulsory rotating internship and 1 year experience in a recognized hospital OR Post-graduate diploma in Medicine with 1 year experience OR MD/MS.
• Technical Officer: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. (CSE/IT)/MCA with 5 years relevant experience OR M.Tech. (CSE/IT) with 1 year relevant experience, with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10-point scale).
• Junior Superintendent: Bachelor's Degree (Min. 55% marks) with 8 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree (Min. 55% marks) with 5 years relevant experience. Knowledge of Office Procedures and Computer environment essential.
• Junior Library Information Assistant: Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University with 5 years experience in a Library/Computerization of a Library.

Candidates must possess specified educational qualifications or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute as of the last application date.

• For Post Code 001-004:

  • OBC: Rs. 700/-
  • SC/ST/Women/PwD/ESM: Rs. 500/-
• For Post Code 005-006:
  • Un-reserved/EWS: Rs. 500/-
  • OBC: Rs. 400/-
  • SC/ST/Women/PwD/ESM: Rs. 300/-

SC, ST, Women, PwD & ESM categories are exempted from the application fee, but processing fee may apply. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Important Dates

• Opening Date for Online Applications: July 21, 2026 (10:00 hrs IST)
• Closing Date for Online Applications: August 10, 2026 (23:59 hrs IST)

Selection Process

The selection process may involve screening of applications, written tests, trade tests, and/or interviews. The Institute reserves the right to screen and shortlist candidates based on higher than minimum eligibility criteria. The decision of the competent authority will be final in all matters related to eligibility and selection.

Applicants in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, etc., should route their applications through proper channel or furnish a 'No Objection Certificate'.
