  • Nursing Officers will be appointed in Level-7 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2: ₹9,300–34,800 with Grade Pay ₹4,600).
  • In addition to Basic Pay, selected candidates will be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), NPS, Medical Facilities, and other admissible Central Government allowances as per the rules of the respective AIIMS/Participating Institute.

    Pay Scale

    Nursing Officer posts are at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix, with a pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 and Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-, Group-B.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Essential Qualification

    Candidates must possess one of the following:

    1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University. OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University. AND registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.
    2. Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board or Council. AND registered as Nurses & Midwife in State / Indian Nursing Council. AND Two Years' Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification. The experience must be acquired after obtaining the Essential Qualification, completing the residency period, declaration of result, and registration with the State/Indian Nursing Council.

    Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age.

    Age Relaxation

    Age relaxation will be provided as follows:

    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PWBD: 10 years (maximum age not to exceed 56 years)
    • PWBD + OBC: 13 years (maximum age not to exceed 56 years)
    • PWBD + SC/ST: 15 years (maximum age not to exceed 56 years)

    Selection Process

    The selection process involves a two-stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

There is a negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer. Qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST. PWBD candidates receive an additional 5% relaxation.
    2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains: Candidates qualifying Stage-I (5 times the total seats in each category) will be called for Stage-II. The syllabus will be based on educational qualification and experience. The duration of this examination will be 180 minutes, with 160 MCQs for 160 marks. The qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST, with additional relaxation for PWBD candidates.

    Tie-breaking rules for Stage-II scores include negative marks in Stage-II, marks in Stage-I, negative marks in Stage-I, date of birth (older candidates preferred), and alphabetical order of name.

    After the CBT, provisionally qualified candidates will undergo Document Verification and a Medical Examination by a Medical Board.
