About the Recruitment
The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted annually by UPSC to recruit officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central Group A and B services.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in any discipline. Age must be between 21 and 32 years as on 1 August 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories.
Selection Process
The examination has three stages: a Preliminary screening test, a Main written examination with nine papers, and a Personality Test (interview) for candidates who clear the Mains.
