Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad – 500058, is one of DRDO's premier laboratories, working on advanced materials and metallurgical technologies for defence applications.

Internship Details

• Duration: 6 months
• Stipend: ₹5,000 per month, paid in two instalments (after 3 months and after 6 months)
• Total Slots: 20 (shared across all eligible disciplines below; no discipline-wise breakup specified)
• Eligible Disciplines: Metallurgy, Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry, CSE (Data Science), CSE (AI & ML)

Eligibility

• Undergraduate (BE/BTech): Pursuing final year, minimum CGPA 7.0 (out of 10) in all previous semesters, from an AICTE/UGC-approved college
• Postgraduate (ME/MTech/MSc): Pursuing, with minimum 70% marks in the first-year examination, from an AICTE/UGC-approved institution
• Indian nationals only
• Age: below 28 years as on 31 July 2026

5. Ensure your email reaches DMRL on or before 15 July 2026 — no hardcopy applications accepted, and late emails will not be considered

• No boarding, lodging, transport, or medical expenses are provided — students must arrange these themselves
• No leave is granted except sick leave with a valid prescription
• Completion Certificate issued only on successful completion of the full 6-month internship, project report submission, and evaluation
• DMRL/DRDO has no obligation to offer employment after the internship, and completion does not confer any right to employment
• Mandatory undertakings under the Indian Official Secrets Act and MoD IT rules must be signed at joining
